Juicing is a quick, efficient way to eat a variety of nutrients. Think about all the ingredients that go into a single juice, and how much time and energy your body will need to digest all those fruits and vegetables!
Whenever I’m feeling a bit sluggish, I reach for my juicer and whip up some green juice. Juicing is often linked to a glowing complexion, increased energy levels, and boosted immunity.
Is it easier to reach for bottled juices at stores? Yes, but they often contain high sugar content (not the healthy natural kind from fruits and vegetables), are pasteurized (a process that heats juice to destroy any harmful bacteria, that also kills all the minerals and vitamins in the process), or have added flavors and synthetic ingredients. Even with juices that aren’t, they still have less “life” sitting on the shelf than juice straight from the fruits and veggies from your own juicer!
I’ve always been a fan of sweeter green juices aka ones that aren’t too “vegetable-y.”
So go green with my Go Green juice recipe!
